What adjectives do we use when we talk about dogs? Loyal, loving, cute… Yeah, they are all that. But sometimes, these dogs can be so much more.
Have you ever imagined if a dog was smart? No – I don’t mean street smart – what if they were ‘geometrically’ smart. Yeah – geometry from maths – that’s what we mean.
Look at this dog clearly at a conundrum. He can’t really drop that big stick in his mouth. Neither can he walk through the narrow bridge. That stick is too long on either side – he can’t really get through.
So what does he do? He looks at the bridge and engages in a bit of Pythagoras theorem. A bit of calculating the ratio here and a bit of finding the congruency there. And what do you know – this dog has found the answer!
He just tilts his head a little and the stick seems to go through! Well, what kind of doggie trigonometry is this? No, this was no fluke. He was waiting and calculating – that dog is Pythagoras of the dog world. And there he passes, no problem.
He has fetched the stick, battled the odds, and come out unscathed!
